Little potsherds are part of many people’s affective memory, and demonstrate the reuse of broken pieces in ancient coatings processes. This was the starting point to think of what could be in opposition to continuous slabs and their almost invisible grout, choosing the Ipanema line, by Oskar Metsavaht to Portobello. This way, it makes reference to the city and neighborhood we are located and to the image of the little potsherd. Because of that we can find a large bench that invades both coated areas, which works as a timeline that unites past and future. On the one side, an aligned lamp gives the idea of the contemporary, the simple and linear. On the other side, a work of art in strings presents the organic and natural, which are out of our control. The space is a game of opposites, showing that it is possible, through the differences, to achieve an aesthetic consensus without annulling our countless essences and possibilities.
